  • Face_WSLOT is a project exploring the lives of three female ex-child combatants in post-war Sierra Leone and the psychophysical adjustments they have undertaken in order to come to terms with their past.

    Face_WSLOT exposes the subject as a multi-layered experience, using different media such as sound, image, film, and smell. All the artworks are the result of an intensive collaboration with the subject group.

    This publication includes a CD of sound compositions created around the voices, stories, and sound environments of these women; articles providing a background and views of the topic; and documentation of the art installation part of the project.
